Wendell has been running ultras for 15 years and has completed over 90 ultramarathons, including 28 100-milers. He also enjoys orienteering events and has done three 24-hour rogaines. One recent unique adventure combined ultras and orienteering. In February 2006, he snowshoed the Western States course and swam across the icy Rucky Chucky river shown above.

Wendell and his family (Sarah Spelt and Aaron) are very excited to come back to Across the Years. They love the "Ultra fest" atmosphere at Nardini Manor. Sarah is running 48 hours starting the first day, Aaron will start the second day and run 24 hours, and Wendell will do the 24-hour event on the final day. Can't wait!!!
