A manual for runners, including both essential information from this Web site for easy, portable reference, and additional material, such as race history and trivia, is available in PDF format.
Medical History Form (PDF)
Every runner is required to complete, sign, and turn in a medical history form before starting his or her race. We recommend you fill it out beforehand and bring it with you so you will not have to do it on race morning.
Lap to Distance Conversion Chart
In October, 2003, the path at Nardini Manor was officially USAT&F certified as a 500-meter road. This round distance will make it easy to keep track of progress by counting laps. Two laps is one kilometer. For the metrically challenged among us we supply a laps to miles conversion chart that lists mileage at 300 laps per page, up to 1200 laps. That's 372.82 miles, which should be plenty to cover the most talented runner, given that the 72-hour race record is 323 miles. It is available in PDF format or as an Excel spreadsheet that you can modify to suit yourself.
We make this file available for legacy reasons, but you should not need it for much. Your accumulated distance is displayed on a projector screen after every lap. However, you may find it useful in planning your race.
